Wo-Co team performed face to face interviews, group interviews and surveys through its field works. Many valuable insights are obtained during the field works. Through the face to face interviews, it is understood that the women leaders should coincide with the requirements of the new course of the world and, that, such a superior feature would generate an alternative for the existing leadership templates. The group interviews showed that there are certain “boys” clubs in corporate environments whereas even such imaginary structures may prevent women to participate in qualified positions since can not be in such clubs. One of the surprising survey results is, even not disclaiming the idea of man-woman equality, but woman managers are under a prejudiced point of view. The initially online designed platform had been transformed to face to face training under a team decision. However, when considered the feedback responses obtained, the requirement for online platform and contents came back in a more strong manner. Moreover, aiming to have more effective online education contents, gamification method has been proposed and started to be analyzed.

Team reflect identified two beneficiary groups as women textile workers and Syrian teenage girls and the anticipated needs of these two groups. As a result of interviews with Syrian teenage girls, the team noticed that their need for education are more specific than anticipated, and creating an extensive social influence model for them will not be effective. As a result of one on one interviews with women employed in production, reflect discovered that the subject of empowerment of women working in the current industry may have a major sphere of influence. They started working on empowerment of 1 million women textile workers employed in Turkey, and development of their knowledge and competences. The fact that the main beneficiary group is the women in the textile they work together made the influence model clear.

The team interviewed experts from various organizations, and after gathering the definitions for “Woman” and “Man” from 180 children and adults living in the cities of İzmir, İstanbul, Giresun, Ankara, Şanlıurfa, and Bingöl, and then developed and applied an evaluation tool named “Domestic Stick People” measuring the perception of domestic social roles. Interviewing the families one on one, Team Öğrenme Tasarımları reviewed the reports, toys, children’s books and animations on the subject, and after analyzing the results, the team developed the priority subjects, various practices, and the game which need to be included in the Social Equity Kit (TEK). The dynamics used in building the game were shaped by the answers of the children for the concepts of “woman” and “man”, as well as the statements of their families and teachers. The team developed the game and TEK by understanding the target audience at the research phase.

The monolab team, while developing their projects, had formed a list of problems as a result of the conducted desk studies. The team, following the Problem Verification, made interviews with 3 groups to observe these problems in the field and make analyses thereof. To understand how the gender roles and professions are perceived by the girls, 42 individuals are interviewed face to face and through surveys including the predetermined questions. To understand the stories and make problem analysis, the team also made discussions with the girl students who have participated different programming training and engineer women as well as teachers, parents and speciasists performing studies about women issues. During the 2nd stage works, the field research and specialist opinions, together with the mentor ideas from the Project Market, helped them to understand the methods for promoting girls to tecnology and engineering professions as well as illuminating the concerns about the focusing on target population, shaping the business and revenue models and developing the communication method. The team, in addition, also determined a concept and motivation story for the business model.

Ladybirdlist made many meetings with the entrepreneurs and investors following the Problem Verification. The team understood that the investors have been willing to invest in woman entrepreneurs however had difficulties to spot them. At the same time, the investors stated that they have been in seek of investing in educated and well equipped entrepreneurs who can control entrepreneurship processes. The entrepreneurs stated that they are not experienced in investor finding channels and had difficulties in reaching project finance. Another interesting point was that the woman entrepreneurs telling their concerns about the “gender bias”. Under this context, the project team, as well as continuing the objective of uniting the possible investors willing to fund the woman entrepreneurs and the woman entrepreneurs, decided that the woman entrepreneurs require training and a sensitive approach against the gender bias had to be generated.

Kızlar Sahada Akademi team was indeed surprised and excited when they have seen their great assumptions of “facts” are replaced by the “fact in the field” one by one; accordingly, the team also understood the difference between the concepts of ‘solely performing a job’ and ‘learning with curiosity’. After Problem Verification, the solution idea for their social initiative became more clear thanks to the steps involved. The team members reached to a consensus on such solution and they started the second step of their field works. One of the basic lessons they have learned was about what kind of a social initiative it could be. The ideas they have served once had concentrated steadily on the project in past however they now assess the facts and events from the glasses of a social entrepreneur and consider the sustainability of a project together with the respective assumptions. The team changed its point of view and concentrated on generating the possible assumptions. The process had started as a 6 days camp only, however now they have decided to build up a Kızlar Sahada platform after their solution ideas undergone changes.

The user and target populations, social impacts analyses observed through the process and field work outcomes demonstrated a change throughout the experiences faced after the first work of the Assistance Program. The Lady Touch project itself has been changed during the second work i.e. turned to be a more clear and effective incentive thanks to the increasing and changing users of the project.

As a result field research, Team Empatikly observed that major concepts such as violence against women and homicides came to mind at first when the subject is gender mainstreaming, and the people considered these concepts far away from them and their spheres of influence, and thus, there cannot be any behavioral changes. The team noticed that many of the participants used words and expressions such as “like a man”, “manly”, “man of his word”, etc., however, these expressions fail to be correlate with gender mainstreaming. All these observations highlighted the fact that it is a necessity to raise awareness about the effects of the words used, explain the reasons, and present the benefits. First prototype of Team Empatikly is released, and the testing phase has commenced.

The mothers being understood by the society and fathers as the sole person responsible for the care and development of the child and being under a pressure of “perfect mother” by the other mothers causes the woman to carry the load all alone. Thus, the woman starts in time to identify herself only as the mother and loses her confidence gradually. On the other hand, BabyAcademy team recognized that attitudes, communication preferences and equal mother-father role models have not been established even in the families claiming to be aware of social gender equality; and thus the potentials of the children are limited.  The team aims to be a first and only in the world by means of preparing different contents for the mothers and fathers requiring different motivations of correct role models; and particularly by serving the most practical and easily accessible routes required by the father.

Wo-Co platform is designed to constitute of “Wo-Desk”, “Wo-Academy”, “Wo-Gap”, “Wo-Home” and “Wo-Coin” modules. The platform includes three basic modules to provide information (Wo-Academy), inspiration (Wo-Gap) and practical (Wo-Desk) support to the corporate employees. Besides, before the Incubation Process, two additional modules which will assist the overcoming of the barriers obstructing the career progress of the women in business life, namely Wo-Home and Wo-Coin, are planned to be placed.  Wo-Co platform preferred elimination of its modules together with activation of the the Incubation Process. It is decided to serve several contents through a single module to realize the targets in short term. The biggest gain of the idea verification works was the ability to assess the ideas under a factual projection perspective.

While modeling the social impact planned to be generated, the team realized that it should know the possible users of the project more closely. Thus, the detailed questions to be asked for the women textile workers and high school age disadvantaged girls are prepared by two separate project groups. Following the first work,  these two groups are united and jointly determined their needs, requests and the features they desire to develop.

Öğrenme Tasarımları formed the skeleton of the project while applying to incubation process. The first work included deep analyses and shaping of the project. The team learned how to work under a plan and connect the pieces to reach for the whole. At the same time, they recognized the nets related to this subject and how could the respective resoures be used.
