Problem Verification
Empatikly spotted in detail the underlying problem and needs related to this project througout the first Assistance Program works. The team worked to be sure of proposing the correct solution matching with the core problem and needs; whereas, started a field work (including interviews with the users and clients) through which they can test the assumptions. The team also started discussions with the legal and technology specialists for the same purpose.
Solution Verification
As a result field research, Team Empatikly observed that major concepts such as violence against women and homicides came to mind at first when the subject is gender mainstreaming, and the people considered these concepts far away from them and their spheres of influence, and thus, there cannot be any behavioral changes. The team noticed that many of the participants used words and expressions such as “like a man”, “manly”, “man of his word”, etc., however, these expressions fail to be correlate with gender mainstreaming. All these observations highlighted the fact that it is a necessity to raise awareness about the effects of the words used, explain the reasons, and present the benefits. First prototype of Team Empatikly is released, and the testing phase has commenced.
